Alan Moorehead (1910-1983) was a foreign correspondent for the London Daily Express and served as the Ministry of Defense's chief public relations officer, earning an international reputation for his coverage of World War II campaigns. In addition to Gallipoli and Darwin and the Beagle, he is the author of a number of other significant works.
