Joshua Gaylord's first novel, Hummingbirds, was published in the fall of 2009. Alden Bell is a pen name for him. He is an adjunct professor at The New School and teaches at a New York City prep school. He and his wife, Megan Abbott, an Edgar Award-winning mystery writer, live in New York City.
