Andreas Marks

The Clark Center for Japanese Art and Culture's Director and Chief Curator is Andreas Marks. His Ph.D. was awarded to him. and a M.A. in Japanese art history from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Bonn University, Germany, awarded her a bachelor's degree in East Asian art history and Chinese studies. Japanese Woodblock Prints: Artists, Publishers, and Masterworks, 1680-1900 (2010), Publishers of Japanese Prints: A Compendium (Hotei Publishing, 2011), Fukami: Purity of Form (2011), and Kamisaka Sekka: Rinpa Traditionalist, Modern Designer (2012) are among his works as a expert in Japanese art. Hotei Publishing will publish his book Tōkaidō Print Series: Kunisada's Puzzles.
