Angela McAllister studied Humanities at Middlesex College before going on to write children's books. She has written over 80 books for children, including Lincoln Children's best-selling novels A Year Full of Tales and A World Full of Animal Stories. Nomadic illustrator AITCH originates from Romania but loves not to settle down in any one place; fresh landscape stimulates and invigorates her tactile, folky pictures and a constant striation of new ideas. Her dreamy characters lurk within William Morris-esque gardens, evoking a brilliant and bold resurrection of Victorian sadness while maintaining a strong feeling of her Romanian heritage.Angela McAllister is the author of more than 80 books for children and teens. Some of her books have garnered accolades, including the Red House Book Award for 'Yuck!' 'Leon and the Place Between,' her picture book, has been adapted for the theater and was nominated for the Kate Greenaway Prize.

Many illustrators have worked with her, including Grahame Baker-Smith, Alex T. Smith, Margaret Chamberlain, Ross Collins, and Peter Bailey are among the cast members. She has contributed to a number of Frances Lincoln works, including the bestselling A Year Full of Tales and A World Full of Animal Stories.
