Ann Braden writes novels about children who are trying to discover their voice in the face of adversity. She started GunSenseVT, a grassroots organization dedicated to promoting compromise on the topic of guns in Vermont. She also started the Local Love Brigade, which now has chapters all throughout the country and sends love postcards to people who are being bullied.
