Annalee Newitz is the founder editor of the science Web site io9.com and a journalist who has written on science, culture, and the future for publications such as Wired, Popular Science, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The New Yorker for over a decade. She was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT and the editor of the anthology She's Such a Geek: Women Write About Science, Technology, and Other Geeky Things. She currently resides in San Francisco.
