The Ohio State University's ANNE M.SMITH, Ph.D., R.D., L.D., is an associate professor. She received the College of Human Ecology's Outstanding Teacher Award in 1995, the Ohio Dietetic Association's Outstanding Dietetic Educator Award in 2008, the Department of Human Nutrition's Outstanding Faculty Member Award in 2006, and the College of Education and Human Ecology's Distinguished Service Award in 2011 for her dedication to undergraduate nutrition teaching. Dr. Smith's research on vitamin and mineral metabolism has been published in prestigious nutrition publications, and she was honored with the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center's 1996 Research Award. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the American Society for Nutrition.
