Anthony Doerr is the author of All the Light We Cannot See, a #1 New York Times bestseller that won the Pulitzer Prize, the Carnegie Medal, and the Alex Award. He's also the author of Memory Wall and The Shell Collector, as well as the novel About Grace and the memoir Four Seasons in Rome. He has five O's to his name. The Henry Awards, the Rome Prize, the Young Lions Award from the New York Public Library, the National Magazine Award for fiction, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and the Story Prize are among the awards he has received. Doerr was born and reared in Cleveland, Ohio, and now lives with his wife and two sons in Boise, Idaho.
