The Cray-Baby Adventures, a self-published comic book by Art Baltazar, was his first foray into the world of comic books. Gyro-Man, Captain Camel & the Space Chicken, Jimmy Dydo, Lunar Lizard, Meteor Mite, and Patrick the Wolf Boy are among his other works. Baltazar has previously worked for Warner Bros. for a short time. Gorilla Gorilla! was a monthly comic strip in Disney Adventures Magazine. Baltazar has finished a graphic novel for Platinum Studios called The Great Amoeba.

Baltazar and his partner and co-owner Franco Aureliani opened a comic book business in 2012. Tiny Titans won a 2011 Eisner Award for Best Magazine for Kids, and Baltazar was the illustrator and co-writer alongside Aureliani. The author is based in Chicago, Illinois.
