Bon Appetit magazine's editor-in-chief is Barbara Fairchild. She began working for the magazine in 1978 as an editing assistant and rose through the ranks to executive editor for nearly 15 years before being promoted to editor-in-chief in 2000. She appears on radio and television programs frequently to discuss food, restaurants, travel, and popular culture. The James Beard Foundation's Who's Who in Food & Beverage in America has honored her.
