Ben Sasse

Senator Ben Sasse hails from Nebraska's sixth generation. He went to public school in Fremont, Nebraska, and spent his summers working in soybean and corn fields as the son of a football and wrestling coach. Before going to Oxford, he was recruited to wrestle at Harvard, where he later obtained a Ph.D. Yale University offers a degree in American history. Prior to joining the Senate, Sasse served as president of Midland University in his hometown for five years.

As maybe the lone commuting family in the United States, Ben and his wife, Melissa, live in Nebraska but homeschool their three children while commuting to Washington, DC on a weekly basis.
