Benson Bobrick is the author of numerous critically acclaimed books, including Broad as the Waters: The Tale of the English Bible and the Revolution It Inspired and Angel in the Whirlwind: The Triumph of the American Revolution. He received his doctorate from Columbia University. He was awarded the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters Literary Award in 2002. His wife, Hilary, and he live in Vermont.
