Beth Henley

For Crimes of the Heart (1978), Beth Henley earned the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the New York Drama Critics' Circle Oscar for Best American Play, and her screenplay based on the play was nominated for an Academy Award. Sisters of the Winter Madrigal (2003) and Absurd Fraud (2007) are two of her most recent plays. Nobody's Fool, Real Tales (written with David Byrne), and Miss Firecracker, based on her play The Miss Firecracker Contest (1979), are among her screenplay credits.
