Betty White is an American actress, comedian, television host, and television legend with a seventy-year career. Sue Ann Nivens on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nylund on The Golden Girls are two of her television roles. In January 2010, she starred in a Super Bowl commercial that received the highest rating on the USA Today Super Bowl Ad Meter. She hosted Saturday Night Live in May 2010 after a grassroots effort on Facebook, making her the show's oldest host at the age of 88. During her career, she has gotten eighteen Emmy nominations and has won six Emmy Awards. She's also known for her involvement with animal welfare organizations including Actors and Others for Animals and the Morris Animal Foundation.
