Brian K Payne

Brian K.Payne graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in criminology in 1993. He is the chair of the Hampton Roads Cybersecurity Education, Workforce, and Economic Development Alliance and the vice provost for academic affairs at Old Dominion University, where he is tenured in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice. He has served as the editor of the American Journal of Criminal Justice in the past, as well as the president of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the Southern Criminal Justice Association. Payne is the author or coauthor of over 160 journal articles and seven books, including Sage's White-Collar Crime: The Basics, Elsevier's Family Violence and Criminal Justice (with Randy Gainey), and Charles C Thomas' Crime and Elder Abuse: An Integrated Approach. While he was in fourth grade, he won the neighborhood Pinewood Derby.
