Brian  Lynch

Brian Lynch was born in Dublin in 1945 and continues to live there now. Lynch is a poet, novelist, and playwright who also works as a filmmaker. Cathal Black directed his feature picture Love and Rage in 1998, starring Daniel Craig and Greta Scacchi, and his television series Captured in a Free State, a four-part series about Nazi spies in Ireland during World War II, has aired in over forty countries since its premiere in 1983. Samuel Beckett recommended Lynch for election to the Aosdana in 1985, praising his extraordinary abilities.
