Carlos Bulosan (1911-1956) was one of a group of Filipino migrant workers who arrived in the United States at the outset of the Great Depression. Bulosan became a famous Filipino writer in the United States committed to social justice from 1930 to 1956. Bulosan is a legendary figure in Filipino American literature and labor history. He was a pioneering Filipino writer-activist in the United States.
