Caron Levis was born and raised in the city that never sleeps (a.k.a. New York City). Despite living in New York City, she admits to sleeping through the night since she was a newborn. Caron holds a LMSW from Hunter College and an MFA in children's and young adult creative writing from The New School, where she presently teaches and advises. Caron never gets tired of going to schools to engage with students and foster social, emotional, and literacy skills through her books, theater, and creative writing.
