Vermont College of Fine Arts awarded her an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults. Circus Mirandus, her debut novel, was a New York Times bestseller and a New York Times Notable Children's Book. The Bootlace Magician is the sequel. Tumble & Blue, her second book, earned a lot of positive feedback.
