Cassie was born and raised in Harlem, New York, and is an entrepreneur, property manager, and novelist. She went to college to study business and still lives in the city. She is a mother, a grandmother, and a wife. Cassie has been a narrative quilter for a long time, and one of her quilts, Welcome to My World, famously portrayed an African-American man performing a spread eagle on a brick wall in a formal shirt, pants, and shoes. It was on display in New York City's public library on Fifth Avenue.
Cassie has now turned her attention to creating novels, with Dominique and the Mirror being her debut. Dominique and the Mirror is a children's story with a powerful message. It is the first book of a planned trilogy and could be defined as a modern fairy tale. 'Never stop learning' is Cassie's favorite quote. 'Knowledge is power,' she says, and she lives by that motto.
She hopes that her writings will be read and remembered for a long time, and that she will be able to become a beacon of humanity in our world.
