Catherine Hapka is the author of numerous children's books. She is too tall to ride horses, despite the fact that her mare, Gerri, still has the appearance of one. Catherine attends twice-weekly horseback riding lessons and lives on a farm with Gerri, three goats, a small flock of hens, and way too many cats.
