Chani Lynn Feener, author of Amid Stars and Darkness and Between Ice and Fury, had dreamed of being a writer since she was 10 years old, when she was reading stories in fifth grade. She earned her bachelor's degree in creative writing from Johnson State College in Vermont in 2012. She has worked a variety of odd jobs to pay her bills, including telemarketing, order picking in a warehouse, and filling printer cartridges. When she's not writing, she may be found binge-watching TV shows, painting, or visiting zoos and aquariums. Chani is also the author of the Underworld Saga, a young paranormal fiction written under the pen name Tempest C.
