Dale H Schunk

Dale Schunk is a professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro's School of Education's Department of Teacher Education and Higher Education. He was Dean of the School of Education from 2001 to 2011. His Ph.D. was awarded to him. Stanford University has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. He formerly worked at the University of Houston and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a professor.

He was the Chair of the Department of Educational Studies at Purdue University before coming to UNC Greensboro in 2001. His research focuses on the effects of social and instructional elements on students' cognitive processes, learning, self-regulation, and motivation, with a particular emphasis on social cognitive theory application. He teaches learning, motivation, and educational psychology doctoral courses, as well as foundations for learning and educational psychology undergraduate courses.
