Danielle Girard is the author of Chasing Darkness, the Rookie Club series, and Exhume, Excise, Expose, and Expire, which features medical examiner Dr Annabelle Schwartzman of San Francisco. Girard's works have received the Barry Award and the RT Critics' Choice Award, and two of her books have been optioned for film adaptation. Girard earned her MFA from Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina, after graduating from Cornell University.
