David E Hoffman

Hoffman is a Washington Post contributing editor. During the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, he covered the White House. After that, he worked as a diplomatic journalist and a Jerusalem correspondent for President George W. Bush. He worked as the Moscow bureau chief from 1995 to 2001, then as a foreign editor and assistant managing editor for foreign news. He is the author of The Dead Hand, which won the Pulitzer Prize for nonfiction in general.
