David S Stern
Stern, who was born in 1935 in Los Angeles, is the great-grandson of two of the city's original twenty Jews. He is a Ph.D. holder. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from Princeton University and worked as a professor at UCLA. He became a believer in Yeshua the Messiah in 1972. Following that, he earned a Master of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, completed graduate work at the University of Judaism, and became involved in the Messianic Jewish movement.
The Stern family emigrated to Israel in 1979 and now resides in Jerusalem. The Messianic Jewish Manifesto, from which Restoring the Jewishness of the Gospel is taken, was written by Dr. Stern. The Jewish New Testament, his critically acclaimed English translation, restores the New Testament's Jewishness. His Jewish New Testament Commentary delves into the New Testament's many Jewish themes.
The Entire Jewish Bible, his new translation, expresses the Tanakh's (Old Testament) and B'rit Hadashah's (New Testament) oneness. This scholarly study provides Bible readers with a comprehensive, biblically Jewish translation of God's message.
