DAVID WESSEL is the Wall Street Journal's economics editor and the author of the Capital column, a weekly look at the forces influencing global living standards. David has won two Pulitzer Prizes: one in 1983 for pieces in the Boston Globe on the persistence of racism in the city, and the other in 2002 for reports in The Wall Street Journal about corporate wrongdoing. He is a regular on PBS's Washington Week and frequently appears on National Public Radio.
