Dean  Motter

Dean Motter has over twenty years of experience in the entertainment and publishing industries as an art director, designer, illustrator, and writer. He went on to become Art Director for CBS Records Canada after working as a staff illustrator for Holt, Rinehart, and Winston of Canada. Diagram Studios, aka Modern Imageworks, was founded by him afterwards. During that time, he continued to illustrate children's books while also designing record jackets. Loverboy, The Nylons, Triumph, and Anne Murray were among the many notable Canadian recording artists whose covers he designed.

His work has received numerous accolades, including two Juno Awards (Canada's equivalent of the Grammy) for album cover design. He also designed stage designs and promotional visuals for a variety of artists and stadium events. Mister X, the 1980s comic book sensation, was created by him.
