Delia James was born in California and reared in Michigan, where she now lives in a century-old bungalow in Ann Arbor, where she writes stories about magic, cats, and mystery. By Familiar Means and A Familiar Tail are two of the Witch's Cat Mysteries she's written. She hikes, swims, gardens, cooks, reads, and raises her rapidly growing son when she is not writing.
