Earl Nightingale's essay The Strangest Mystery was recorded in 1956. By selling over one million copies, this recording became the first spoken message to receive a Gold Record. Earl and his business partner, Lloyd Conant, were inspired by their achievement to start Nightingale-Conant Company, a corporation dedicated to assisting others in achieving personal success. Earl Nightingale authored and performed over 7,000 daily broadcasts for his iconic radio show, Our Changing World, wrote and appeared in many television shows, and was honored by Toastmasters International with the prestigious Golden Gavel Award.
