Eliza Crewe had always aspired to be a lawyer and had even completed law school. Yet, as they say, you are what you eat, and given how many books Eliza had devoured since childhood, it was only a matter of time before she found herself in the literary world. Instead of becoming a lawyer, she became a librarian and is now a writer. Eliza didn't truly commit to writing an entire novel until the spring of 2011, when she and her husband bought a house, despite the fact that she'd been filling notebooks with random scenes for years. Eliza felt she needed something to worry about other than her road rage during the half-hour drive that came with the house.
Is it any surprise she wrote a book about a monster that eats people? She enjoys cooking, working on half-finished craft projects, letting her hens roam free, and going for long walks. Her debut novel is Cracked. North Carolina is the author's home state.
