Elizabeth G Speare

Elizabeth George Speare was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, on November 21, 1908. Two Newbery Award-winning novels, The Witch of Blackbird Pond and The Bronze Bow, are among her remarkable works. She received the Laura Ingalls Wilder Prize in 1989 for her significant and long-lasting contribution to children's literature. In 1994, Elizabeth George Speare passed away.
