Elizabeth  Moon

Elizabeth Moon grew up on the Texas border, served three years in the US Marine Corps (1968-71), and currently resides near Austin, Texas, with her husband, who is also a veteran. She's written over twenty-five books, including The Speed of Dark, which won the Nebula Award, Remnant Population, which was a Hugo nominee, and The Chronicles of Paksenarrion, which is still going strong. She's written over fifty short stories in anthologies and journals, as well as four collections of her own short stories, the most recent of which are Moon Flights and Deeds of Honor. Moon enjoys photographing local flora and wildlife, knitting socks, and cooking when she is not writing.
