Elizabeth Moore was born and raised in Indian Mills, New Jersey, a small town just outside of the Pinelands National Reserve. Her writing, both poetry and prose, has always been influenced by the distinct ecosystem and culture of this region. Her work frequently examines the sometimes beautiful, sometimes tense relationships that exist between nature and the human heart, between the wonders of youth and the uncertainties of experience, and between the lives of the past and the lives of the present. She and her husband, Nathan, currently reside in Massachusetts, where she works in academic publishing. It's her debut novel, and it's a good one.
