Ellen Deakin attended Glasgow School of Art during a wonderful era when there were gleaming new computers on one end of the hall and an original letter press studio on the other. She went on to work as a graphic designer, illustrator, and art director in the United Kingdom, where she worked with clients such as BBC Scotland, Scottish Ballet, Channel 4, Playhouse Disney, and Lupus films. She founded Happythought, a craft website consisting of inspiring ideas, tutorials, and fun printable crafts, with her husband Harry Olden in 2010. Happythought focuses on creating craft templates that are not only beautiful to look at but also simple to construct with minimal bother and maximum enjoyment.
