M.D. Eric Manheimer For nearly thirteen years, he was the Medical Director at Bellevue and is now a Clinical Professor at the New York University School of Medicine. He is an Internist who received his training in Internal Medicine at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Hanover, New Hampshire after completing his Chief Residency there, where he spent several years as a member of Dartmouth Medical School and the Hitchcock Clinic. He has a long history of interest in international health, having worked in Haiti and Pakistan, as well as medical anthropology, history, social sciences, and literature, especially in Latin America.
Eric travels extensively in Latin America and Mexico with his wife Diana Taylor, a University Professor at New York University. He is the father of two children and the grandfather of one granddaughter, all of whom were born in Bellevue.
