Eric P Kelly

While teaching and researching at the University of Krakow, Eric P. Kelly, a lifelong student of Slavic culture, wrote The Trumpeter of Krakow. He traveled with an American aid force among the Poles who were driven out of the Ukraine in 1920, directed a supply train during the conflict with the Soviets, and researched and visited many places in the country he came to love so much during his five years in Poland. Kelly began his career as a newspaper reporter in his hometown of Massachusetts, and then went on to write numerous magazine pieces and novels for children. In 1960, he passed away.
