Erin Bow is a physicist by training, but she now spends her days in a tiny (but heated) garden shed in Ontario, Canada, producing poetry and fiction. Her works have garnered numerous prizes, including the fairy tale Plain Kate, the contemplative horror Sorrow's Knot, and the science fiction duology The Scorpion Laws and The Swan Riders.
