Frances E Jensen

Frances E. (Frances E.) Jensen, MD, is a professor of neurology and the chair of the neurology department at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine. She was previously a senior neurologist at Boston Children's Hospital and the Brigham and Women's Hospital, as well as a professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School and the director of translational neuroscience and epilepsy research at Boston Children's Hospital. She is also a proponent of brain research awareness, having given numerous public lectures and media appearances, including a TEDMED talk, on topics such as adolescent brain development, its specific strengths and vulnerabilities, and their implications for medical, social, and educational difficulties unique to teenagers and young adults.
