G K Chesterton
Chesterton was an English novelist, philosopher, and critic who lived from 1874 to 1936. George Bernard Shaw hailed him as a colossal genius who used wit and humor to make a series of observations on current events. He authored poetry, essays, short tales, and novels throughout his life and is best known for his character Father Brown.
