At the University of Glasgow, Gary Kemp is a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy. He earned his PhD at the University of California and formerly taught at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. He is the author of Quine: A Handbook for the Perplexed and, with Tracy Bowell, Critical Thinking: A Concise Guide; he is also the editor of Twelve Modern Philosophers, which he co-edited with Chris Belshaw.
