Graham Greene was born on this day in the year 1904. He released his first book of verse while at Balliol College, Oxford. In addition to many other novels, short story collections, plays, essays, travel books, and film scripts, he is the author of The Third Man, Our Man in Havana, The Quiet American, and The End of the Affair. He worked for the British Secret Intelligence Service during WWII. In 1991, he passed away.
