Grant  Achatz

GRANT ACHATZ was named one of America's greatest new chefs by Food & Wine magazine in 2002. In 2003, he was named a James Beard Rising Star Chef; in 2007, he was named Best Chef/Great Lakes; and in 2008, he was named Outstanding Chef in the United States. Achatz worked as a sous chef at the French Laundry and as the executive chef of Trio in Chicago before launching Alinea in 2005. He currently resides in Chicago, Illinois.
