Greg L.Bahnsen was an ordained minister in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and a scholar-in-residence at the Southern California Institute for Christian Studies. His Ph.D. was awarded to him. in philosophy with a focus on epistemology (theory of knowledge) from the University of Southern California. He also earned a master's degree in divinity. Westminster Theological School in Philadelphia awarded him a Th.M. and a Ph.D.

Dr. Bahnsen was a well-known conference speaker and author of various books and articles. As seen by his exchanges with Muslims, Roman Catholics, Jews, and atheists, he was a renowned public debater.
