Guojing is a Chinese illustrator from Shanxi Province. She has worked as a concept artist for games and animated television shows since graduating from the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts. Guojing is an only child as a result of China's birth restriction program, and she has drawn on her early memories of loneliness and isolation to write this, her first book.
