Helen Fisher, Ph.D., is a well-known anthropologist in the United States. She worked as a research associate at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City before becoming a research professor at Rutgers University. Fisher has studied the evolution, expression, and chemistry of love extensively. The First Sex and The Anatomy of Love, her two earlier novels, were both New York Times Notable Books. She was born and raised in Connecticut and now resides in New York City.
