Ira Wallace

Ira Wallace is a worker/owner of the cooperatively managed Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, which sells over 700 types of open-pollinated heritage and organic seeds selected for flavor and regional adaptability. He also serves on the board of the Organic Seed Alliance. She is also a co-organizer of Monticello's Heritage Harvest Festival, a fun, family-friendly event that includes an old-fashioned seed swap, local food, hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and more. She currently contributes to periodicals and blogs concerning heirloom vegetable types, including Mother Earth News, Fine Gardening, and Southern Exposure.
