Jack Wang earned a bachelor's degree in science. M.F.A. from the University of Toronto with a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona Florida State University awarded him a bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. During the 2014 academic year, he was the recipient of the David T.

The University of East Anglia's K.Wong Creative Writing Fellowship is based in Norwich, UK. Prism International, the Malahat Review, the New Quarterly, the Humber Literary Review, and Joyland have all published his work. Wang is an associate professor in the Department of Writing at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, where he resides with his wife, author Angelina Mirabella, and their two daughters. Wang is originally from Vancouver.
