James  Morris

Jan Morris was born in 1926 to a Welsh father and an English mother, and she lives in Wales with her partner, between the mountains and the sea, when she is not traveling. Coronation Everest, Venice, The Pax Britannica Trilogy (Heaven's Command, Pax Britannica, and Farewell the Trumpets), Conundrum, and Trieste and the Meaning of Nowhere are among her published works. She has also written six books about cities and countries, two autobiographies, and several collections of travel pieces. In 2003, she published A Writer's World, a compendium of her travel writing and reporting spanning five decades. In 2006, her work Hav was republished in a revised and extended edition.
