Jeff Chang's first book, Can't Stop Won't Stop: A History of the Hip-Hop Generation, won an award. He was designated one of The Utne Reader's 50 Visionaries Who Are Transforming Your World and was a USA Ford Fellow in Literature. He is the Executive Director of Stanford University's Institute for Diversity in the Arts.
